(In reply to Artur Correia from comment #0) > I write in portuguese > Whenever typing the characters á é í ó and ú a new line is created right > after I type the ´character (cursor shoud wait for the letter, but it > doesn't and creates a new line. Some more details would be welcome. Which language/ keyboard? My US qwerty keyboard doesn't have dedicated á é é or ó or are we talking about 'a' followed ' (which replaced by á)
thanks for your reply my language is portuguese keyboard is "generic 101 key" no dedicated characters, rather typing a after typing ' i use libreoffice since the very beggining (actually since openoffice). never had this happen before
What is the most recent version you used, where this was not a problem?
I don't know. I just upgraded my kubuntu distro and this just happened
[Automated Action] NeedInfo-To-Unconfirmed
Hello again Just installed LibreOffice 2.2.2 The problem persists After further testing I found out that the character inserting a new line is the ´ character, instead of the usual behaviour which would be waiting for a character (a, e i o u) to be inserted.
Does this still happen with version 7.4? If your distro doesn't have it, you could try an appimage: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Installing_in_parallel/Linux#Automated_installation I don't see the problem in KDE UI. If you still see the bug, you could also try with the generic UI by launching from the command line with SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gen libreoffice Set to NEEDINFO. Change back to UNCONFIRMED, if the problem persists. Change to RESOLVED WORKSFORME, if the problem went away.
