Description surfbird 2021-10-19 21:10:45 UTC
I have LibreOffice 7.1!
On 13 October 2021 I downloaded a windows 10, version 2004 update.
Since then I cannot open my LibreOffice '.odt' files unless Safe mode
is used!
I have tried Uninstall/Install/Repair; nothing works!
My computer is a Toshiba, Satellite C55-A

I am physically challenged and NOT very computer savvy!

How are you trying to open the file, opening first LibreOffice, or directly clicking on them in the explorer.
Comment 2 surfbird 2021-10-19 23:28:24 UTC
Have explorer folder that contains .odt files I tried to open.

Also when that did not work I tried in LibreOffice to no avail.

When you say 7.1 it's not enough, there's 7.1.x, please paste Help-About info, you should use 7.1.latest.

May be profile corruption, just delete or rename LO profile

Or Windows Defender problem.

Using LibreOfice-7.1.6-win-x64
Comment 6 Timur 2021-10-23 07:54:05 UTC
Do not yet New yourself. This cannot be confirmed.
You can reset profile, try Defender trick and install 7.1.7 when ready.
