Description: If I print/export an open file, say, "document.otd", to PDF, the dialog autofills the name "document.odt.pdf". Expected behavior is for the extension to be replaced and not left, resulting in "document.pdf". Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open a document 2. Select Export to PDF menu item 3. See filename in dialog Actual Results: filename contains original extension and pdf. Expected Results: filename contains only "pdf" extension Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: Yes OpenGL enabled: Yes Additional Info: Version: 7.2.2.2 / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 02b2acce88a210515b4a5bb2e46cbfb63fe97d56 CPU threads: 4; OS: Mac OS X 10.15.7; UI render: default; VCL: osx Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); UI: en-US Calc: threaded

Do you have the system prefs set to show extensions in the finder?
(In reply to John from comment #2) > So you just don’t see the original file extension, but just pdf? Yes, the file does not have the original extension, only .pdf. > Do you have the system prefs set to show extensions in the finder? Yes, I do have it set to show extensions and also checked the file extension with the Finder’s file info dialog.
Hmmm, I'm now not getting the first extension with the "Export to PDF..." menu, just when I try to print and then choose "Save as PDF" from the system dialog.
Do you still have this issue? I'm not getting any print dialog where I can save as PDF Version: 7.2.5.2 / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 499f9727c189e6ef3471021d6132d4c694f357e5 CPU threads: 10; OS: Mac OS X 12.2; UI render: default; VCL: osx Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); UI: en-US Calc: threaded
The original bug seems to be gone. That is, if I choose the "export to PDF" functionality via the little PDF button or the menu, the "pdf" extension replaces the file's "odt" extension. However if I print the file and then choose "print to pdf" via the system dialog, the resulting dialog box has both the "odt" and the "pdf" extensions, as in "filename.odt.pdf". Different apps seem to handle this in different ways. For example, some leave the new pdf "unnamed", but a quick check doesn't find any that leave the original extension on the proposed PDF filename.

I can't reproduce. Print -> Save as pdf does not include the odt extension Version: 7.5.1.2 (AARCH64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: fcbaee479e84c6cd81291587d2ee68cba099e129 CPU threads: 10; OS: Mac OS X 13.2.1; UI render: default; VCL: osx Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); UI: en-US Calc: threaded
