@reporter: I'm not sure whether understand your STR correctly. Although it's not relevant for my results: "2. Press delete until 'Hello' and the page break is gone" means "You see that pictures have moved up to first page" "3. Save " means "Save and close"?
Created attachment 176052 [details] Sample Document after "not reproducible" Problem seems to depend on daytime 😉 🤔 Early in the morning I created attached "Book2_a.odt" without any problems, same results in 7.2 and 7.3.: In step 3after pagebreak deletion pictures jumped upwards, no empty first page left. And now ... And now reported Problem is reproducible for me with both versions: 7.2 default profile and 7.3. newly created User Profile
There seems to be some dependence on formatting in picture area. I see something I did not check this morning, so I can't tell how it looked: The pseudo caption for chapel picture "Ermita de San Miguel en el parque municipal - Año 2005" is "heading 2", not "caption". and it'snot below the picture, but on the next page. Currently I see: 1. Open the attached file 2. Press delete until 'Hello' and the page break have gone. No More! » Unexpectedly there leaves a blank page additional <Del> will notmove up picture, but delete church picture. Don't do this! 3. Save under new name and close 4. Reopen new document » Unexpectedly blank page has gone No some new attempt: 1. Open the attached file 1.1 Click on "Ermita" and change formatting from "Heading 2" to "Default" 2. Press delete until 'Hello' and the page break have gone. No More! » Problem has gone, chapel picture moves up What ever this all might mean
For clarification: interesting with 'Sample Document after "not reproducible"' is not, that there is contents on page 1. Interesting is that that looked so for me already before I saved the document. But I doubt that that strange fact will be visible in document source.

Dear Telesto, To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo'; 4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat: https://web.libera.chat/?settings=#libreoffice-qa Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!
