Description: Kerning in LibreOffice seems to be quite haphazard. This is more noticeable with some fonts than others. In the screenshot I've attached, the font is Cambria (12 pt). Obvious kerning problems are highlighted in red. In this case, kerning is worse with "pair kerning" on. However, if I switch the font to Arial, all the obvious kerning problems are in the version with "pair kerning" off. Note especially that the kerning is inconsistent for the same letter pairs and words. I've never seem any other MacOS program exhibit these kerning problems (likely because they let the OS handle the text display). The screenshot shows kerning in the TextEdit program for comparison. Reports of this issue seem to date back almost 10 years. Regardless, the closest pre-existing bug I could find was Bug 87373 which was closed as fixed (mainly because the bug had become too long and unwieldy). Steps to Reproduce: 1. Choose a non-monospace font (Arial for example). 2. Type some text. Actual Results: The kerning is haphazard. Even if you type the same word twice, it will have completely different kerning the second time. Expected Results: The kerning is clean and consistent (as you see in other MacOS programs).
