This bug was filed from the crash reporting server and is br-0c103dcb-cdaa-4ae6-9190-9fdda8376068. ========================================= This crash happens during closing LibreOffice 7.1.7.2 and occurred in previous releases also. This behaviour occurs not every time. I have the impression it happens when the program Stellarium (stellarium.org) is running. Greetings Hans Zekl
Since it happens with 7.1.7.2 and there won't be any new official LO version for 7.1 branch (see https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/ReleasePlan/7.1), perhaps you can give a try with 7.2.2. Now as indicated in the website (see https://www.libreoffice.org/download/download/), this version is more for early adopters.
I installed version 7.2.2.2. Up to now it looks good. I will test it for the next days and report the outcome. Hans
The problem exist in the new also. But the cause seems to be more complex. I have to make some additional test, but it needs time. What I found: When the error occurs all LibreOffice windows are closed (I closed them step by step manually). The suddenly the error window pops up say that an error occurred and all files will be saved. No other information is displayed. When I close this window a small message window pops up for a very short time. It disappears so fast, that I cannot see which text it shows. The task manager of windows (Windows 8.1, 64 bit, up-to-date) then shows 2 instances of LibreOffice. One does not consume any CPU time (0% CPU, 0,9 MB of memory) and a second process running and running consuming CPU between 26 and 29%, 1.011,8 MB of memory and 0% of disk usage. Note: this process is running now for 10 minutes. What to test next: The problem never occurred when no screensaver was running. It will be activated after 15 minutes of inactivity. I am using Folding@Home during times of inactivity. I will deactivate it and see if the problem persists. Greetings Hans
I think, we close this bug. I made a lot of tests and I think this is a problem connected to my old PC. The crash occurs sometimes after Windows woke up after i had went to sleep after a longer break. Then LibreOffice reacted slowly to commands. I could reproduce the crash even with Writer or Calc. Other programs also reacted sometimes slow. Since the latest Windows update crashes happen only very sporadically. On my laptop running Win10 everything works fine although memory is only have of that of my PC. Regards Hans
(In reply to Hans Zekl from comment #4) > I think, we close this bug. > > ... Ok let's close this one then. Don't hesitate to reopen this tracker if you find a reliable way to reproduce the pb.
