Description: Usually, LibreOffice Writer (or any other product) proposes an update, which is latest long-term-tested version. It's now proposing 7.1.6, but 7.1.7 is already available. It's been my third time, I encounter inconsistency in the update branches and versionings.. I remember, some time ago, I've submitted another issue like this, and then, developers said, it really was an inconsistency. It's not a big deal.. but why should I have an incorrect up-date notification.. that's not good. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Help -> Check for Updates 2. You get LibreOffice 7.1.6 is available; 3. But LibreOffice 7.1.7 is available on https://www.libreoffice.org/download/download/ Actual Results: 7.1.6 Expected Results: 7.1.7 Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: Yes OpenGL enabled: Yes Additional Info: Nothing much to add here. Just beware, that I've encountered updates' versioning inconsistency already for not the first time.. please take better care of this.
Hi, Giorgi. When you report a bug, it will stay in Unconfirmed status until someone else confirm it, and it gets the status of New. Please don't change the bug status.
I confirm it. I've opened old version LO 7.2.7.2 and 7.6.6 was shown as actual version although 7.6.7 is the current stable version. => NEW LO help [1] should mention, that update service searches for the latetest stable version. Generally we wait one week until we update the new version in the update checker. It's the expected behaviour
(In reply to Xisco Faulí from comment #3) > 7.6.7 was released last week. Generally we wait one week until we update the > new version in the update checker. It's the expected behaviour So NAB. But I think, we should update help then. I change component and add Olivier Hallot. We should add information to the following page: https://help.libreoffice.org/24.8/en-GB/text/shared/01/online_update.html?&DbPAR=WRITER&System=WIN Somethink like "Updater checks for the current stable release older than one week" (Sorry for my English) And a reference between that page and https://help.libreoffice.org/24.8/en-GB/text/shared/optionen/online_update.html?DbPAR=SHARED#bm_id7657094 would also be useful.
