Created attachment 176508 [details]
Three tables with some text; the file was saved with Show WhiteSpace unmarked.

Version field here do not have 7.1.7.2, so selected "unspecified".

Description:
Sometimes, unmarking Show WhiteSpace shows page breaks in wrong places.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open the attached file.
2.a. Choose menu View, and mark Show WhiteSpace.
2.b. Choose menu View, and unmark Show WhiteSpace.
3. Select "Text 1" and following table, not including "Text 2" but its left position (stop the cursor at the left of "Text 2"). Copy and paste after third table.
4.a. Choose menu View, and mark Show WhiteSpace.
4.b. Choose menu View, and mark Show WhiteSpace.
5. Select "Text 0" cell (not only the text content) an drag to the cell to its left (A1).

Actual Results:
+ After step 1 there is a page break after "Text 3". Status bar says "Page n of 2"; result varies with Zoom factor.
= After step 2.a. and 2.b. there is no page break at all. Status bar says "Page 1 of 1".
+ After step 3 Status bar says "Page 1 of 1".
= After step 4.a. and 4.b. Status bar says "Page n of 2"; result varies with Zoom factor.
+ After step 5 there is a page break BEFORE fourth table.

Expected Results:
+ After step 1 there is NO page break at all. Status bar says "Page 1 of 1".
= After step 2.a. and 2.b. there is no page break at all. Status bar says "Page 1 of 1".
+ After step 3 Status bar says "Page 1 of 2".
= After step 4.a. and 4.b. Status bar says "Page n of 2"; result varies with Zoom factor.
+ After step 5 there is a page break AFTER fourth table.

The first two tables can be replaced with empty paragraphs.

Opening the attached document, you get a different result, depending on setting of "Show Whitespace":
Document has two pages (as statusbar shows) when opening with "Show Whitespace" deselected
Document has two pages when opening with "Show Whitespace" selected

Expected result:
One page also when whitespace is hidden.

Leroy, I would reduce the bug report to that problem. Hope you agree. One further question: How did you create the document. If there was a page break before, it might be related to bug 118456.

Steps to Reproduce: must say "unmark"
"4.b. Choose menu View, and unmark Show WhiteSpace."

"Document has two pages (as statusbar shows) when opening with "Show Whitespace" deselected"
YES

"Document has two pages when opening with "Show Whitespace" selected"
NO, only 1 page. Please, confirm that.

"How did you create the document."
From scratch, without any (manual or automatic) page break.

"I would reduce the bug report to that problem."
It's OK for me.

Thanks.
