Description: I was trying to format a set of cells to form a table with multiple types of borders. Thick on the bottom of the title, dotted on the bottom of the body, double line on top of the total with single line separating each column inside. This is almost next to impossible to create manually. when I select the entire table it clears out all the other formatting I've done even if I was just changes one column. Steps to Reproduce: 1.select a group of cells to form the title format border (normal inside, thick on top and bottom 2. Select the body of the table, set inside as dotted, then thin on the middle vertical 3.Select all to create a table outer border, set it to Thick Actual Results: clears out all other border set. Expected Results: multi bordered table Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: I would love to attach a picture of what I like as an output. For further details you can reach me in my email.
I'm changing the component to Writer because it sounds like you are talking about it instead of Calc. It seems that it would be best for you to start with step 3 when you are building the formatting. I think this is a complex topic, if you are requesting that the formatting behaviour would change when selecting all cells and changing the formatting. What is your concrete request or are you OK with just changing the order of how you apply the formatting?
