Description touchrank 2021-11-28 06:02:19 UTC
Indent on paragraph should be measured by n-characters not only by n-CMs, because font size maybe changed during editing.

LibreOffice has been supporting using "Characters/ch" as indent units for a long time.

First enable CJK language support: Tools > Options... dialog, Language Settings > Languages page, Default Languages for Documents section, check "Asian" box.

Then enable using character as unit: Same options dialog, LibreOffice Writer > General page, Settings section, check "Enable char unit" box.

Now in various places for setting indentation one should be able to directly specify number of characters.

The indent will use the current font size. But this feature does not adapt to change of font size *after* setting the number of characters. So the user needs to adjust indent again if he/she changes font size of already indented paragraph.

Mark as WORKSFORME accordingly.

The issue related to the indent not updating upon change of font size is tracked by bug 36709.
