Description Eyolf Østrem 2021-12-18 18:19:33 UTC
When editing a document in docx format, with Record changes on and "Deletions in margin" selected, the contents of the file is severely messed up when saving and re-opening.
- Deleted text is completely gone
- Chunks of text between some other changes (not quite sure which changes trigger this) appear as if it has been deleted.
- Inserted text sometimes appear as expected, some times as stricken out.

This is serious, since it corrupts the document and loses data.

- add a sample document and some steps to reproduce
- have a look for example at meta bug 115709 to find out, if there are similar or perhaps identical reports
