Description: I have just upgraded to the latest version on LibreOffice. I went into a sheet I had previously created and it wasn't displaying the grid. I clicked on a number of menu item to see if I could rectify the problem but they all blacked out after I clicked on them. A bit weird. If I closed the sheet and then reopened it the same thing occurrs Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open an existing sheet or new one 2. Saw there was no grid around the cells 3. Click on menu items, eg format etc. The menu appeared ok but when I clicked on it it blacked out with a number of icons visible on the left side. Actual Results: Just the menu blacked out making unusable. I tried other menu and they all did the same I think the version is right but when I tried the check it that menu blacked out as well. Expected Results: I was trying to find a way to get the grid back on the sheet Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: [Information automatically included from LibreOffice] Locale: en-US Module: SpreadsheetDocument [Information guessed from browser] OS: Windows (All) OS is 64bit: yes
Please test with a clean profile, Menu/Help/Restart in Safe Mode, if you are unable to go through, try with the instructions on https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile
I’ve run it in safe mode and it appears to be working okay. The grid is back and the menus are not being blacked out. What happens now. Do you put a fix through.

Before to clear the profile, try to test modifying the options in Menu/Tools/Options/LibreOffice/View - Graphics Output
I did as you suggested and checked the ‘force Sakai software rendering’ and it seems okay now. Many thanks.
Ok, thanks for reporting.
