Description Dinky 2022-01-03 14:47:33 UTC
CALC ignores the formatting setting to show negative numbers in red. Looks like 98772 but if it is the same, then it is not solved

Maybe Menu/View/Value Highlighting?
Comment 2 Dinky 2022-01-04 11:18:55 UTC
Menu>View>Value Highlighting makes a difference in that some columns are now showing colours. A date e.g. is blue, but both positive and negative numbers are now shown in green rather than black. Negative Red is not working

Can you upload a test document that you see this with?

Setting OS to all, as this is likely not a macOS problem

Does it occur in latest LO 7.3?

Here is how I can trigger / repro this.

1. Open attachment 178096 [details].
2. Tools > Options > LibreOffice > Accessibility > Use automatic font color for screen display (set ON, checked box)
3. OK
4. CTRL+SHIFT+F9 (Recalculate Hard)

Result: negative number in default black color.

How to show the color again:
5. Tools > Options > LibreOffice > Accessibility > Use automatic font color for screen display (set OFF, unchecked box)
6. OK
7. CTRL+SHIFT+F9 (Recalculate Hard)

Result: negative number in red color according to cell Format Code.

@Dinky, could you please confirm that the above procedure allows you to show the red color for negative numbers?
