Description joe mcvery 2022-01-04 14:18:05 UTC
Description:
After inserting a chart into a spreadsheet the main menu disappears.

I can repeat this often. By the following steps.
Insert chart.
Select chart type => Line -> Lines Only
Select Finish.
Then select any cell outside the area where the chart is displayed.

Then the Main Menu bar disappears/

After this failure, the F10 key shows the "File" menu. Using the Right arrow key I can get over to the "Insert" menu select and create another Chart; which RESTORES the main menu. When a third chart is added the main menu again disappears.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open a numeric spreadsheet.
2. Select one line/
3. Select Insert. Select Chart...
4. Select Chart Type Line Lines Only Press Next >

Actual Results:
The chart is shown as expected.
The main menu bar disappears.

Expected Results:
The main menu bar should not disappear.

Reproducible: Always

GTK3 only?
Comment 2 joe mcvery 2022-01-04 21:29:39 UTC
I noticed something new.

After the Menu disappears, if I go from the Calc window to a non-Calc window and then back to the Calc window, the Menu reappears.

So maybe it's an OS problem?

Look at the right screen

I guess the problem is linked to the use of a dual screen. Right?

screen cast single monitor

So I removed unplugged the second monitor, rebooted. Same results.

I don't know if my system still thinks it is a multiple monitor system.

I added an attachment showing the bug using a single monitor.

Using this file with Calc made the bug occur on my Linux box. Does not happen on my Win10 box.

No repro in GTK3 with LO 7.2.
User Profile Reset: indicates that you should've tried with that before report.
Comment 11 joe mcvery 2022-01-20 14:29:48 UTC
I installed 7.2.5.2. The bug is still there.
