Description Ray Holme 2022-01-07 13:59:08 UTC
I recently imported a 62 page Word document (.docx) which had 2 places where a landscape style page (or two) was in between regular portrait style pages.
The transition to landscape was handled fine and printed correctly, but the return to portrait style never happened.

I had to cancel the printout twice and restart with the page following the landscape style to get back to portrait. On the first time through, all portrait pages following the landscape page were printed in landscape format (cutting off bottom ...).

Hopefully this issue occurs very rarely and hopefully the fix is trivial as somehow it worked right one way.

I doubt it matters the OS, but included it in case.

Please attach a sample file.

And please add the help -> about information (can be copied with the button)
Comment 3 Ray Holme 2022-01-07 17:51:56 UTC
I was afraid you would ask that. It is a huge personal document.

Anyway, I cut it down to 3 pages and saved as an .odt file.

It still has problems as noted, so you should be good to go.

I am not sure what Telesto is asking for so I could not do that. Sorry.

problem with document portrait->landscape->portrait modes

Page 2 is landscape mode
When you print this document, page 3 (which is portrait) will print in landscape mode. (Original document had many more pages and ALL pages after a landscape page print in portrait.

OK, I update weekly with the latest Fedora updates including Libre Office.

But great! I just happened to print something with what I thought was current.
Comment 8 Ray Holme 2022-01-08 12:22:54 UTC
Interesting - I just ran my weekly update of everything.
Libre Office did not update.

Evidently Fedora has not processed or sanctioned or ... the new release yet.

I don't need to print this document again for quite a while so it is good to know that the problem is fixed BUT I cannot confirm it.
Comment 9 Buovjaga 2022-12-01 13:10:28 UTC
Have you still seen this in the latest versions?

Set to NEEDINFO.
Change back to UNCONFIRMED, if the problem persists. Change to RESOLVED WORKSFORME, if the problem went away.
Comment 10 Ray Holme 2022-12-02 12:09:45 UTC
Sorry to say, the problem still exists. I downloaded the example I sent you as I forgot where the orginal was. The third page prints in landscape mode, but should print in portrait. I am enclosing a screen shot of the current revision in case you need more information than 7.3.7,2 (the revision).
Thanks.

Just in case you need more than the revision information.

Screenshoot showing the type page change

Works for me 7.4.3.2

Stéphane found a dupe and I confirm the behaviour appears in 43max Linux bibisect repo. Tested by printing to file.
