While I edit a formula, I see it in white color. After leaving edit mode for each formula, it becames all black. If I create a new file with a formula, formula shows all black, no matter if I reload it.
Version 7.1.8.1 The formula retains the Font color set when it was last edited. If Font color (Alt+F12 - LibreOffice - Application Colors) value is Automatic, formulas are shown in black. Change Font color to Green: all text shows in green, but formulas remains black. Edit a formula, and it becomes green also. Change Font color to Red: all text shows in red, but formulas remains black and green (as shown previously). Edit a formula, and it becomes red.
If Font color (Alt+F12 - LibreOffice - Application Colors) value is White, formulas are shown in black. For Font Color values of Automatic, White and Light Yellow 4, the formula is shown in black. There may be other light colors with the same result.

In the sample file attached at comment 4, toggling the Edit Mode (Ctrl+Shift+M) make all formulas take the actual font color. Not reproducible in the sample file attached at comment 7.
