Description Telesto 2022-01-20 11:03:26 UTC
Description:
ENHANCEMENT: Ability to export drawing as image to PDF (same was as happens with Redact PDF export)

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Draw
2. Insert some image
3. Use shapes (black rectangle)
4. Apply Fontwork to add some Watermark
5. File Export -> PDF
6. Open the PDF with LibreOffice.. notice all objects can be shuffled around

7. Open Writer
8. Insert the same image
9. Click Tools > Redact
10. Use the redact tool.
11. Click Export Redacted Black
12. Reopen the PDF in LibreOffice.. everything is fixated.. also manually added fontworks and such

Actual Results:
A regular export won't export full page as image.. and has no ability to do so

Expected Results:
An option in the PDF export dialog which makes it possible to convert content to single picture and using that to generate the PDF, as happens with Redact PDF export

Reproducible: Always

PDF editing is a power feature, I don't see the use case for exporting content as image. "Workaround" is to cut all content and paste back as image before exporting. If it is about security you may also use a password. The redaction tool is exactly about blocking this so the conversion is done automatically.
