Description TheStroyer 2022-02-06 21:13:46 UTC
How to reproduce:
- Create a new document, put a comment in it and resolve that comment.
- Uncheck "view/resolved comments" in the menu bar. The comment is not visible anymore.
- Save document and close writer
- Open the document again.

Expected behavior:

The comment is still not visible. Writer remembers the view setting.

Actual behavior:

The comment is visible again. The checkbox is checked again.

Notes:

The state of "view/comments" is remembered.

Are you asking to bisect this issue? I don't think this is a regression. It seems more that this setting is not stored upon quitting libreoffice. I'm asking for this to be added.

This is already in latest of 6.4, the feature got introduced in 6.4 as well in bug 119228. I think we can safely say this is an implementation error.

The behaviour now is that upon save & reload, the checkbox remains unchecked, but the comment becomes visible.

It seems like this has worsened. When I click this option it doesn't have any effect, but maybe this is actually https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=157987, because it is actually off when I open the settings.
