Description: Some selected preferences are not remembered when installing a new version. I have noticed this in previous versions, but how far back it goes I'm not certain. Here are the three cases: Tools > Options > Language Settings > English Sentence Checking Tools > Options > LibreOffice Writer > Grid (Resolution and Subdivision options) Tools > Options > LibreOffice Writer > Table (Keyboard Handling options) Steps to Reproduce: 1. Make a note of your preferences in the above mentioned categories 2. Download and install a new version of LO 3. Go back and check your preferences in the above mentioned categories Actual Results: The preferences are apparently set to some default settings -- not the settings you selected in the previous version. Expected Results: The preferences should migrate to the latest version without the user having to go back and check why, for example, some English Sentence Language Settings are not being automatically checked by the software. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: Yes Additional Info: Version: 7.3.0.3 (x64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 0f246aa12d0eee4a0f7adcefbf7c878fc2238db3 CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19044; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win Locale: en-US (en_US); UI: en-US Calc: threaded

Not sure, if this is a bug or enhancement request Heiko, what do you think (please take into account bug 112440)? cc: Heiko Tietze
(In reply to Timur from comment #11) > It's not that language should be changed, it's checkbox of used feature. > Change language and turn off spellchecker. On next open, it remains turned > off. The point in bug 1124440 is that you configure writing aids for multiple languages. For example, hyphenation on for German and off for English. The dropdown is a selection for the list below. This ticket is about the user profile. Haven't tested the issue but in general users expect justifiably a consistent configuration.
Bug persists in versions 7.3.5 and 7.4.0.3 and 7.4.1.1.
