Description ea4203531 2022-02-07 21:28:45 UTC
Description:
Select cell and right click on that cell unselects cell instead pulling up right click menu, on certain cells. Deleting the cell text fixes the problem of course your text is gone. Problem is caused by spelling check flagging one word as incorrect, a cell with only one incorrect word will not duplicate the problem, numbers make no difference, you need two words or more with one word flagged as a spelling error to duplicate the problem. Also tested with Open Office that Libre is based on, same bug exists in Open Office.

Steps to Reproduce:
Problem is caused by spelling check flagging one word as incorrect, a cell with only one incorrect word will not duplicate the problem, numbers make no difference, you need two words or more with one word flagged as a spelling error to duplicate the problem. (IE type in a cell "ebay sold out", then attempt to right click for the cell menu)

Actual Results:
that will duplicate the problem

Expected Results:
cell should have stayed selected and displayed right click menu containing cell options

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
Same problem exists in Open Office 4.1.11
Libre Office problem found in 7.2.0, then I upgraded to 7.3.0.3 and still problem exists.

Hello ea4203531@gmail.com,

Thank you for reporting the bug. I failed to reproduce on Windows 10 and Ubuntu 20.04.4 LTS with LibreOffice 7.3.0.3 and 7.4.0.0. Unfortunately without clear steps to reproduce it, we cannot track down the origin of the problem.
Please provide a clearer set of step-by-step instructions on how to reproduce the problem.
I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to 'UNCONFIRMED' once the steps are provided.
