Description Shimon 2022-02-09 13:44:09 UTC
Description:
Regardless of method: opening existing file/open a file from main Office window/create new spreadsheet from main Office window, in all cases Office dies.
Next attempt to open ANY office document gets "Libreoffice crashed when it was last run"

Totally impossible to open a spreadsheet.

All other LO applications work perfectly well (Writer, Draw, Impress, Math, Base)

$ uname -a
Linux Brachot80.localdomain 5.16.7-pclos1 #1 SMP PREEMPT Sat Feb 5 15:27:17 CST 2022 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Version: 7.3.0.3 / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: 0f246aa12d0eee4a0f7adcefbf7c878fc2238db3
CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 5.16; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3
Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); UI: en-US
Calc: threaded

Steps to Reproduce:
1.dbl-click .ods (or.xlsx) file.
2.-OR- open LibreOffice, click Open File, select an .ods file
3.-OR- open LibreOffice, click File, new, spreadsheet.

=================

Following the instruction below "To be certain the reported issue is not related to corruption in the user profile", I started in safe mode.

https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile#Resolving_corruption_in_the_user_profile said to use this command:

$ libreoffice --safe-mode
bash: libreoffice: command not found

This worked:

$ libreoffice7.3 --safe-mode

All 3 scenarios still crash LO.
The above page says:

Select Continue in Safe Mode
Test and see if the problem is gone.

    If the problem persists, you can exit the safe mode because the user profile was not the cause of the problem.

==========

Regarding OpenGL - I followed the instructions at https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/OpenGL#How_to_enable.2Fdisable_OpenGL
and there was no mention there of OpenGL, so I do not know if it is active or not. (Sorry, I don't even know what it is)

Actual Results:
LO crashes.

Expected Results:
I expected Calc to open the existing file (in steps 1 or 2 above), or open a new empty spreadsheet (step 3)

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes
