This bug was filed from the crash reporting server and is br-472062c4-8d8c-4861-9d13-a71ed9a10e13. ========================================= I had opened an 18-MB file (with a lot of graphics), accepted 2 deletions, attempted an Undo which didn't work, and then tried a Reload, and Writer crashed. I see that in 2018 I filed Bug 118333 after a crash when I'd also tried to Reload. I submitted an anonymized version of the file but the bug was not reproducible and it was closed. I'm afraid I don't have time for that now.
Thanks for the bug report The cause related to the undo of the deletions you're describing (based on the crash report). But well probably the whole layout matters (including images). If you can reproduce it doing the same steps (accepting the 2 deletions your describing) maybe a solution can be found for getting the relevant info
Thank you for reporting the bug. it seems you're using an old version of LibreOffice. Could you please try to reproduce it with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/libreoffice-fresh/ ? I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to 'UNCONFIRMED' if the bug is still present in the latest version.
I attempted to reproduce the problem with the same version (7.1.5.2) of Writer and this time the Undo operations and the Reload all worked. To the best of my recollection, I did the same operations (apart from some preliminary scrolling) on the same document.
Robert, a new major relase of LO is available at https://www.libreoffice.org/download/download-libreoffice/ Could you please test, if bug is still present in actual version LO 7.5. => NEEDINFO
I think I've managed to identify the file that I was working on at the time of the crash a year ago (for the record, draft7_rf.odt) but even at that time I was unable to replicate the crash with the same version of LO (comment 3). For what it's worth, with version 7.3.2.2 I've just now accepted what I think may be the same 2 deletions, attempted an undo (Ctrl-Z) which again had no effect, and then did File > Reload, which worked fine with no crash. (I've just realized that the reason the supposed undo had no effect was that (both a year ago and now) I typed Ctrl-Z when focus was still with the Manage Changes window.) I don't think I can replicate the crash.
(In reply to robert.funnell from comment #5 > > I don't think I can replicate the crash. So let's close it. Feel free to reopen it as UNCONFIRMED, if you can provide steps to reproduce.
