Description godefroid nathalie 2022-02-15 18:15:09 UTC
Description:
When creating a text doc, the function "insert a page number" has a bug : the terms "page number" appear, but it's impossible to change it, and it remains the same on all the pages of the doc.

Actual Results:
create document text
create a down page space
select insert a page number

Expected Results:
the terms "page number" come out. When selecting and replacing by a number, the down page space remains the same (1 on every page)

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
The software should have added a page number, and it should have changed from page to page

> the function "insert a page number" has a bug : the terms "page number" appear, but it's impossible to change it.

Press:

- View > Field Names (Ctrl+F9).

This will change the display of "Page number" into your actual page numbers.

You can also press:

- View > Field Shadings (Ctrl+F8)

to enable/disable the gray highlight. This lets you know that "this is a field". Auto-generated:

- Footnotes
- Page numbers
- Cross-references
- [...]

are all considered "Fields".

I'd mark this as NOTABUG.
