Description Digi Abros 2022-02-16 23:08:34 UTC
Description:
See Steps to Reproduce the bug.
CALC unable to retain Sort under Data > Validity after save, close, and reopening document.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. New Document > enter data in few rows in one column.
2. Select Column > menu Insert > Define Name > this becomes list of values.
3. Another column > menu Data > Validity > Cell Range > List Name (defined earlier).
4. Enable Sort checkbox option for List to appear in Ascending order.
5. Check and verify data (values from List) is appearing in Asc. Sort order.
6. Save and Close Document.
7. Reopen Document.
8. Check and verify data (values from List) - once again.
9. --- BUG --- Data Validity Sort Order is LOST. (Need to enable again)

Actual Results:
Calc application RESETS Sorting after reopening.
Every time I have to Redo the Steps getting Validation Data in needed order.

Expected Results:
One Sorting is enabled on Data > Validity, the application must be able to retain STATE (enabled / disabled) of Sort this after close and reopen of document.

Reproducible: Always

DEMO file attached to help rerpoduce the unexpected behavior.

SORT is not saved after File Save & Close : Data > Validity > Sort by Ascending Order. Resets every single time. Need to enable Sort again under Data > Validity.

State of Sorting must be Saved in document, if enabled.

It is excel file format, I can't see with excel in Data Validation an option for that.

Looks like if that option doesn't exist in excel.

Works find ODF file format.
