Created attachment 178350 [details] Screenshot of the problem Open 178340 from bug 147487. Click on [ Draw ] button, see the new rectangle. Press [ 500x500 ] button (see the cells taking a different size), then press [ Draw ] button. Now try to open a menu. It shows blank. Try to close the file -> the confirmation dialog is also blank. Now undo twice, then redo twice. Now the menu and dialogs are shown OK. This is a regression after https://git.libreoffice.org/core/+/fd2174d55dadc3b4dcf6b15b5789077bb2951698 > author Armin Le Grand <Armin.Le.Grand@me.com> Mon Nov 04 15:28:22 2019 +0100 > > tdf#121963 apply GridOffset in isPrimitiveVisible The problem only affects Windows; it is visible with OpenGL (in 6.4) and with Skia (in current master); and with UI render: default, it is not reproducible. But an interesting thing is, that the buttons are flashing (especially with UI render: default), which the causing commit tried to fix.
Note that the flashing of the buttons after the [ Draw ] -> [ 500x500 ] -> [ Draw ] in 'UI render: default' is also caused by the same commit.
I can reproduce with Skia enable, It's strange, closing the file and reopening again, doesn't happen. With Skia disable, the buttons [500x500] begins to flicker a lot. Dear Mike Kaganski, To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo'; 4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat: https://web.libera.chat/?settings=#libreoffice-qa Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone! Warm Regards, QA Team MassPing-UntouchedBug
Bug still exists in Version: 24.2.1.1 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 359ef544e625d2ffbfced462ab37bd593ca85fa7 CPU threads: 12; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19045; UI render: Skia/Vulkan; VCL: win Locale: en-US (en_US); UI: it-IT Calc: CL threaded Even if the menues are blank i am able to blindly click and use them. Using version 24.2.1.1 after i replicate the bug everything is effected by lag, for exemple if i type something it doesn't show up on the screen untill i scroll a little the page. Also using Calc not in full screen and making one side of the window larger the "new" extended section sometimes remains black until i scroll a little the page and averything except the menues refreshes back to normal. As an older reply in bug 147487 says: if you change the zoom of the page avery menu comes back.
bug also exists in Version: 7.6.5.1 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 7d3edae2c3c6b0c6667bcb9e3f9988f28eb82295 CPU threads: 12; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19045; UI render: Skia/Vulkan; VCL: win Locale: en-US (en_US); UI: it-IT Calc: CL threaded
