Created attachment 178397 [details] Draw file with embedded Calc - some rows hidden
I created a table in Calc which had some cells with backgrounds and all cells with narrow borders. Importing this as an OLE object into Draw showed 2 cosmetic errors. 1. When only some of the rows are shown the column borders extend a short distance below the bottom row. This appears to apply only to importing into Draw and Impress, Write appears OK. 2. The background fill is up and to the left a small amount from the grid - see #135891
Hello, Thank you for filing the bug. Please send us a sample document, as this makes it easier for us to verify the bug. I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO', so please do change it back to 'UNCONFIRMED' once you have attached a document. (Please note that the attachment will be public, remove any sensitive information before attaching it.) How can I eliminate confidential data from a sample document? https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/FAQ#How_can_I_eliminate_confidential_data_from_a_sample_document.3F Thank you
Created attachment 178428 [details] Draw file with OLE embedded table Sample Draw file attached. Embedded table showing only some rows. Vertical lines below baseline visible. Cell background offset visible as per #135891
(In reply to david_ashworth from comment #4) > Created attachment 178428 [details] > Draw file with OLE embedded table > > Sample Draw file attached. Embedded table showing only some rows. Can you also attach the Calc file, so we can test embedding it? Set to NEEDINFO. Change back to UNCONFIRMED after you have provided the document.

Thanks for the Calc document, I found it was indeed necessary to have it for the testing. (In reply to david_ashworth from comment #2) > I created a table in Calc which had some cells with backgrounds and all > cells with narrow borders. > > Importing this as an OLE object into Draw showed 2 cosmetic errors. > > 1. When only some of the rows are shown the column borders extend a short > distance below the bottom row. > This appears to apply only to importing into Draw and Impress, Write appears > OK. I tested this by inserting the Calc doc as OLE, double-clicking it to edit and changing the height, so only rows 1-4 were visible. I bisected this with linux-64-6.0 and got this as the result https://git.libreoffice.org/core/commit/f839ea98181a1c6970fe25a82cf798dc151ed332 fix tdf#114934 borderline feature regressions There is even a meta bug for it: bug 114934 The issue is really minor as even before the change, there was a very slight extension of the vertical borders (not seen on all zoom levels). > 2. The background fill is up and to the left a small amount from the grid - > see #135891 This is bug 99953 (found/confirmed by bisecting).
Un-Ccing developer for the moment, old regression & very high workload.
Dear david_ashworth, To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo'; 4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat: https://web.libera.chat/?settings=#libreoffice-qa Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone!
