Changing the axis number scale, and then bar color results calc 7.4 to exit.

Changing the axis number scale, and then bar color results calc 7.4 to exit.

Steps to reproduce:
1) open the attached file
2) change Y axis scale from 0 to 1 as starting point
3) then try to change the bar colour to something else (whatever)
 - double click on the bar, press colour, choose color with mouse.
4) Calc exits

i) This does not happen on 7.1.3.2
ii) If you save when scale is changed and you exits calc, then reopen it, you can change bar color.

Comment 5 elias estatistics 2022-02-22 19:45:33 UTC
In 7.1.3, and 7.3.0dev no crash.

in 7.4. crash.

I created a chart from scratch.
Changed y axis limits.
Tried to change chart color.
Crash.

If you have any other suggestion... it is weird though to happen only to me and to that edition.

If i can provide any other useful info...

(I have nouveau drivers, this may play a role? eg. some programs hangs cause of poor implementation for nouveau drivers either from their part or from programmers part).

Oh this crash happens only when experimental features are on in 7.4 but with experimental features on in 7.3, no repro.

Can you try with a fresh 7.4 build? I have experimental features on, but can't repro.

That said, I also tried with the exact commit you mentioned (58ac3288b5a4a1f1f9b21fed4f4c1ab06dd43db9) in a bisect repository, but could not reproduce.

Do you change the color in the Sidebar? I did it like that and also from right-click, Format data series.

for 30 days: https://ufile.io/25i4u9c2

when Experimental features ON

you can see on the video posted in the link that in the 2nd try libre calc crashed.

video is gone now.

I can't reproduce either with experimental features on and:

Version: 7.4.7.2 / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: 723314e595e8007d3cf785c16538505a1c878ca5
CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 5.15; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3
Locale: en-AU (en_AU.UTF-8); UI: en-US
Calc: threaded

elias, please try version 7.6 (as 7.4 and 7.5 shouldn't see further releases).

You don't get the crash reporter dialog after the crash?
Comment 12 elias estatistics 2023-11-13 17:56:22 UTC

Ah that's good to know, thank you for re-testing!
Let's mark as "works for me" then.
