Description ericmurp 2022-02-21 19:27:05 UTC
Description:
When I try to resize Properties Sidepanel with standard UI and sidepanel for adjusting font style properties, .. etc., The writer application will lockup and not respond while flashing between old width and new width. It does not respond and appears to be stuck in a loop.

CTRL+ALT+DEL and restart keeps application usable but this but is major.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Click view, then select User Interface..
2. Choose stardard toolbar, and sidebar.
3. Resize the sidebar width as narrow as you can.

Actual Results:
Application locks up and sidebar flashes between previous state and new state.

Expected Results:
Succesfully shrink enlarge sidebar size

Reproducible: Always

workaround with HiDPI use:

as from dupe

"expert configuration "Minimum width" (as for bug 140360) boolean "false" prevents the issue from occurring on Windows build"

This workaround fixed the issue.

Grateful Thanks

Hi,

It's a workaround not really a fix.

This remains exact duplicate, and workaround of expert configuration setting "Minimum width" suffices. Do not reopen issues unless you understand the process.
