Description: Convet-to command execute perfectly with no error but it generate no output, it doesn’t perform any conversion, I’ve used 5.x it was running fine and suddenly stopped working and i updated libre to 7.3 hoping that it would work but still it is not working… Actual Results: Convert to isn't working.. Expected Results: It should work Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: The only problem is --convert-to isn't working in debian 9
Thank you for reporting the bug. it seems you're using an old version of LibreOffice. Could you please try to reproduce it with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/libreoffice-fresh/ ? I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to 'UNCONFIRMED' if the bug is still present in the latest version.
OTOH, To be certain the reported issue is not related to corruption in the user profile, could you please reset your Libreoffice profile ( https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile ) and re-test?
Convert-to is working, so you seem to have some local problem. You should write the full command you used, and add sample document.
I'm on Debian testing x86-64 that I update almost every day. Could you provide a test file and precise command line?
Created attachment 178544 [details] pdf to doc libreoffice --headless --infilter="writer_pdf_import" --convert-to doc:"MS Word 97" {filename}.pdf
Created attachment 178545 [details] generated file No pb here: julien@debianamd:/tmp$ soffice --headless --infilter="writer_pdf_import" --convert-to doc:"MS Word 97" Trading\ bot\ website.pdf convert /tmp/Trading bot website.pdf -> /tmp/Trading bot website.doc using filter : MS Word 97 I attached generated file Do you use LO from Debian repositories? Could you try https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/FirstSteps#Corrupted_user_profile ?
RE: Regression/Progression: Cannot replicate with LO 7.2.5 on Debian 11 for conversion from ods to xlsx. The xlsx version of the file pops up as expected. Note: Any deviation where requested source file does not exist will result in quiet failure, identical to result in bug report.
Semms line not LO bug, but some local problem. I'd check permissions for filename.pdf and for writing. Also start without --headless, or start simple: soffice filename.pdf . If you can show otherwise, set Unconfirmed.
Seems like the problem was user profile as Xisco Faulí suggest, the issue has been resolved..
