Description Marcus Menzel 2022-02-28 11:37:30 UTC
Dear list members,

In the new version (7.2.5.2 linux) of impress a bug was introduced.
I use bullet point list regularly and change the line order using the arrows in the side panel.
Now LO is crashing instantaneously and the file restoration isn't working - even so LO says otherwise; it is the last manually save file.

The crash is easily provoked like:
 HEAD (no bullet point)
* line 1
* line 2 (cursor here)
* line 3
if you now click the down arrow in the side panel "Lists" the crash happens.

If you need more data or tests I am happy to assist (as long as no coding is involved)

regards,
Marcus Menzel

By "change the line order using the arrows in the side panel", you mean Sidebar panel Properties and "Move selected paragraphs down one paragraph".

I could reproduce with the oldest commit in Linux 7.4 bibisect repo, but not in the newest. However, I then noticed that I could not reliably reproduce it.

I suspect it might be fixed by the fix for bug 143135 as that also had some unreliability.

I was using Plasma Wayland session when testing.

Maybe you could test with a fresh master build:
