Description: After upgrading from 7.1.5 (I think) to 7.3.0.3, I find that when I call up the Manage Changes window it always appears in the middle of the document window. It used to appear where I positioned it the last time I used it, which is preferable. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open a document. 2. Open the Manage Changes window. It appears in the middle of the document window. 3. Move the Manage Changes window to a more convenient position. 4. Close the Manage Changes window. 5. Open the Manage Changes window again. Actual Results: The Manage Changes window again appears in the middle of the document window. Expected Results: The Manage Changes window should appear where it was positioned when last used. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: Version: 7.3.0.3 (x64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 0f246aa12d0eee4a0f7adcefbf7c878fc2238db3 CPU threads: 12; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 22000; UI render: Skia/Vulkan; VCL: win Locale: en-CA (en_CA); UI: en-US Calc: threaded
I confirm it with Version: 7.3.2.1 (x64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 0b2e59a88b7e225b655db87910f97dca7aef27aa CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19044; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win Locale: de-DE (de_DE); UI: en-GB Calc: CL But I think evey window has this behaviour (tested with dialogs "Fields", "Got to Page" and "Find & Replace"). So it's a more general question, if dialogs should remain their former position after reopening. cc: Design-Team for further input and decision
Yes, we want to remember the user input (in particular of non-modal windows). Some work has been done for bug 146648 to fix the problem. Please test with a nightly build.

I apologize for not responding earlier. The extreme behaviour that I reported (with the Manage Changes window always appearing in the middle of the document window) seemed to disappear shortly after I reported, and I saw the postings saying that it also happened with other windows and referring to another bug, so I let it drop. My impression now (with LO 7.3.2.2) is that the Manage Changes window appears more or less where I left it. I'm resetting to UNCONFIRMED as instructed, but maybe somebody should set it to RESOLVED.
Please reopen in case. Many thanks for reporting the issues!
