Description griffinit 2022-03-05 22:25:18 UTC
LibreOffice Writer Version 7.3.0.3

"Save As", with "Save Password" unticked saves in edit mode, no problem.

However, "Save As", with "Save with Password" ticked saves in read only mode even when File Sharing is not used. The file can then only be opened in read only mode and requires an unknown password to change to edit mode.

Any file saved with password can only be edited by copying the text to a new document.

Checking File -> Properties -> Security, after the save with password, has a greyed out tick against save read only which can't be cleared.

Prior to upgrading to 7.3.0.3 this problem did not exist. All files saved with password, but no file sharing, before that upgrade, still open in edit mode.

In which format do you save?
Please upgrade to 7.3.1 and test again.

I was saving as "docx". Upgrading to v.7.3.1 has resolved the problem. Thanks.

Let's guess a duplicate, although that bug was marked Calc, since commit mentions OOXML.
