Description Winfrid Birth 2022-03-06 20:05:14 UTC
Description:
if "Hoher Kontrast" is activated at "Erleichterte Bedienung" in the settings of windows 10, there is a problem with colors at the main surface of LibreOffice. You will see white letters on white background. Apart from this Problem I do not see further Problems.
Apache OpenOffice does not show this problem. But also SIGNAL for PC has a similar problem.

Steps to Reproduce:

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
all PCs show the same problem at the described settings of windows 10

Thank you for reporting the bug.
it seems you're using an old version of LibreOffice.
Could you please try to reproduce it with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/libreoffice-fresh/ ?
I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to 'UNCONFIRMED' if the bug is still present in the latest version.

With Windows 10 "Ease of Access" HC settings:

   High Contrast #1
   High Contrast Black

the issue remains reproducible.

However, the other Win10 provided HC themes, High Contrast #2 and High Contrast White are fully readable in LibreOffice. As are other themes making use of the HC toggle -- GrayEveTheme v2.1

Also recent changes in handling Windows UI theme offers functional options for folks needing AT of setting contrast and specific color values without necessarily setting the ease of access HC modes.

The LO response to HC being set and partial import of HC UI theme could possibly be improved now (replacing our HC AT behavior with more complete UI theme parsing) so potential to do a better job than we've done in the past making use of the new theme detection for Windows rather than the win32 HC signaling,.

Stuart and Winfrid, could we please have a screenshot of the issue?
And is it still reproducible as described in LO 7.5.3+ ?
Comment 5 V Stuart Foote 2023-05-14 17:36:11 UTC
No longer reproducible.

Version: 7.5.3.2 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: 9f56dff12ba03b9acd7730a5a481eea045e468f3
CPU threads: 8; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19045; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win
Locale: en-US (en_US); UI: en-US
Calc: threaded

When selected from Win10's "Ease of Acccess - Display settings - High Contrast" all four of the default Win10 os/DE provided Hight Contrast (HC) modes are well rendered in LibreOffice. Also the GreyEveTheme V2.1 deviantArt theme.

Work on other facets of os/DE "dark" theme support have corrected LO handling of the win32 HightContrast mode signaling (SPI_GETHIGHCONTRAST) as well.

Suspect same will hold for the Win11 set of HC modes:
"Aquatic"
"Desert"
"Dusk"
"Night Sky"
