Make this dialog a Content Panel in the Slide Master tab of the Sidebar

I propose that the dialog "Available Master Slides" be made available as Content Panel in Slide Master tab in Sidebar.

Currently, for an user to quickly view and select the different Master slides he goes to the Master Slides tab in the Sidebar and selects one of the available to use, but when selecting one, only the Title layout of that Master Slide is implemented.

If an user wants to change to a different Master Slide layout he needs to go to the "Available Master Slides" dialog which is accessible via drop-down menu or in tabs (depending on UI), load the templates and select the relevant template.

To make this procedure more visible and easier for the user, I would like to suggest that this dialog becomes a Content panel in the Slide Master tab of the Sidebar.

+1 I think that's a great idea and time saving mechanism.

I have to admit the workflow regarding master, slide design and related terminology quite confusing in Impress. But yes, this has been my concern over the years and Pedro file the bug report about it.

Fully support the request +1

Essentially the same topic as requested in bug 98423, although with a different solution. Would prefer a third way by having some kind of dropdown to pick the slide from the master (without going into the ugly dialog).

I disagree that this is the same topic.
The purpose of my bug report is for the user to quickly select a different slide layout from the Available Master Slides.
From what I understand from that bug, the purpose is to select and dump all the other Master Slides layouts when changing the layout.

That is clearly not what I am asking for here. I do not want to change the current behaviour when selecting a Master slide.I want the dialog "Available Master Slides" to be transformed into a Content Panel in the Slide Master tab in the Sidebar.
I don't see what is the confusion.
