Description: If one uses LO on different computers, changes made in the files in the paths (> Options > LibreOffice > Paths) remain local. For instance, if the user makes additions to a user dictionary in /user/wordbook, these will not be available on the other installation. Matching two versions of the same file manually is cumbersome. Suggestion: Offer the user storage of (some of) those files in a LibreOffice cloud. This service would also help the user when he updates LO or replaces his installation. At the same time, the user may allow TDF to use these files. For instance, the lexicon 'standard.dic' could be enhanced with data from the users' dictionaries. → Mutual benefit. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Tools 2. Options 3. Paths 4. Edit Actual Results: Only local paths are available. Expected Results: The LO cloud should be offered. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: I would not know how to solve this problem with other cloud services. If it were, the above suggestion would still be worth considering.
Offering free cloud storage to non-members is out of scope of TDF's mission as a charity. Have you set up any network-shared folder yourself and tested that it works for this purpose?
I did not mean sizable free storage space for private data; I meant (optional) centralized storage of settings and configurations for mutual benefit.

I don't believe this would ever fly from the foundation's perspective. If the added words would have value to many users, better to just contribute to the upstream dictionaries.
When I am back home, I will both try an IP address for my configuration files and I will try to upload my user dictionary. How do I go about the latter action?

Misunderstanding. I was referring to your advice: "better to just contribute to the upstream dictionaries." How would I go about this?
