Please test with a clean profile, Menu/Help/Restart in Safe Mode

I do replicate it in the safe mode. I found two more things, however. First, Calc seems to unfreeze after a couple of minutes. Not great, but at least the data do not have to be lost due to a forced restart. Second, I do not get the same issue with the blank Calc spreadsheet. I get it in my work, and admittedly rather large (5.7Mb), file.

I cannot share the file, unfortunately, it is from my workplace

Then this needs to be closed. You can set it back to unconfirmed, if you provide a sanitised version of the file that still shows the problem: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/Bugzilla/Sanitizing_Files_Before_Submission
