Description Kenou 2022-04-09 16:48:58 UTC
Description:
when you try to insert a special character (insert --> special character), Libre Office closes abruptly. You can choose the character, but the system closes when using "insert". After that, you have to recover your document(s).
It happened several times with different special characters.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.in a document, you go to "insert"
2."special character"
3.you choose one (I did from recent characters)

Actual Results:
when I tried to reproduce it, it doesn't work but just before, it has been happened 3 times consecutively.

Expected Results:
I cannot reproduce, because it happens randomly

Reproducible: Sometimes

I happened again today by inserting a row (for decrease) and I received this exact message:
"Due to an error, LibreOffice crashed. All the files you were working on will now be saved. The next time LibreOffice is launched, your files will be recovered automatically".

Kenou, do you have mac with M1 or with Intel CPU?
Comment 4 Kenou 2022-04-15 14:53:04 UTC
I work with CPU.
On my Mac desk, I have the same Monterey and I have no problem but the version of LibreOffice is not the same, it is a previous one 7.0.3.1.

Comment 6 Kenou 2022-04-16 06:57:31 UTC
The crashes occur more and more often, even without doing anything special. It became impossible to work. Therefore I downloaded the version 7.3.2.2 hoping that it will be better. In the mean time I continue to work with the previous version on my Mac-desk because this one has no visible problem.

Are you on an ARM Silicon (M1/M2) Apple or using an x86(64) Intel Apple?
