I have a long document with several sections. One of them is a one-column section, followed by a short two-column section - which starts within a page. I should mention this document was imported from an MS-Word .docx originally. Now, it is often the case that when I make edits, then scroll to the page of transition between the sections, the latter section is invisible, or almost completely invisible, for the remainder of that page; but its continuation appears just fine on the subsequent page. If I then press Enter in the earlier section, on the same page, then delete the resulting paragraph - the latter section is rendered properly again. Will add screenshots to illustrate. Version: 7.4.0.0.alpha0+ / LibreOffice Community Build ID: fb9270b238cba4f36e595c5d7f4d85f6f3f18e1c CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 5.10; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3 Locale: en-IL (en_IL); UI: en-US
Created attachment 179430 [details] Screenshots before and after Enter-and-Delete sequence Screenshots of how the section-change page displays in LO Writer, before and after pressing Enter-and-then-Delete. Note, in the Before shot, that there's a tiny bit of the second section content that does "peek out" just below the section change.
Eyal, without the document itself, it won't be possible to reproduce the problem. So please add it as attachment if possible. To make sure, that tha problem is not document-specific it would be even better to add a document from scratch, without the docx-history. => NEEDINFO
