Created attachment 179481 [details] Example file from Word 2013 Attached document contains a UserName field in RTF format. When opened in Writer the field gets updated with the current LO users data. 1, Open attached file Observe that the username field is not "Gabor Kelemen2013" but whatever you set in the LO Options - User data. Also there are two other instances of this field with Uppercase and Lowercase formatting set in Word, which are missing not just on opening, but even when you try to insert a new field - so this would be a separate issue. Version: 7.4.0.0.alpha0+ (x64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 6f39602ecb9b90795bfd4101273f90b16f17b6d6 CPU threads: 14; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19044; UI render: default; VCL: win Locale: en-US (hu_HU); UI: en-US Calc: threaded Jumbo Happens all the way back to 3.5.

This is handled by https://gerrit.libreoffice.org/c/core/+/133346 > Also there are two other instances of this field with Uppercase and > Lowercase formatting set in Word, which are missing not just on opening, but > even when you try to insert a new field - so this would be a separate issue. This is also handled by the same patch. Now, if you want FIELD-FORMATTING in LO to be able to handle this on a NEWLY inserted field by LO, that would be an enhancement request. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 126636 ***
