After updating to LibreOffice 6.4.7.2 the behaviour of the Navigator pane has changed. I always use the navigator pane at the left side. 
When I open a document:
- the option "View" - "Navigator" is checked but the navigator pane is not visible
- I have to uncheck the option and to check again to see the navigator pane.

In previous versions
- the option "View" - "Navigator" is checked and the navigator pane is visible.
- It is not uncheck and check the option.

There seems to be a similar problem with LibreOffice Calc but I don't use the navigator pane in Calc and can't reproduce it at the moment.

Although I'm still using LibreOffice 6.4.7.2 the unwanted behaviour disappeared in LO Writer and LO Calc.

Thank you for reporting the bug. It seems you're using an old version of LibreOffice. Could you please try to reproduce it with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/libreoffice-fresh/ ? I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to 'UNCONFIRMED' if the bug is still present in the latest version. Change to RESOLVED WORKSFORME, if the problem went away.
