Description glomeo 2022-04-16 19:19:39 UTC
Description:
When printing #10 envelopes the program creates a much larger size envelope.
I have reset the user profile but it did not help. Any suggestions?

Actual Results:
After selecting #10 envelope and clicking on new document, a much larger envelope is created by the program.

Expected Results:
A 4/1/8 by 9/1/2 envelope, standard size #10 envelope should have been created.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

Additional Info:
Generate a 4/1/8 by 9/1/2 envelope, standard size #10 envelope.

There are long standing problems with envelopes, listed in bug 110434. See also bug 51132.

I can confirm it happens when trying to print to an Epson L355 printer from LibreOffice 7.3.5.2 on Windows 10.

I formatted my document to use "Envelope C6/5", which is 22.90x11.40cm, but the print dialog shows the paper size as "A4", which is 29.70x21.00cm, in landscape mode. So when I try to print on an envelope (which is put on the printer in landscape orientation), the printing happens outside the paper, well above it should be.

If I define a custom paper size on the printer driver (it doesn't have "Envelope C6/6" by default), LibreOffice pulls the custom paper size, but: 1) LibreOffice does not automatically select the custom paper size; 2) When I select the custom paper size I added on the printer driver, LibreOffice still shows "A4" on the print dialog preview.

To be sure it was not a bug on the printer driver, I opened the document with Microsoft Word, and it printed correctly. So the bug is in LibreOffice.

See my attachments.
