Description Ivo Blöchliger 2022-04-24 17:25:48 UTC
First many thanks for this wonderful piece of software!

When working with a keyboard having dead keys (like US-International) inside a section, the cursor jumps down and leaves the symbol corresponding to the deadkey instead of composing the character. When the cursor is not at the end of the line, there is no problem. (So leaving a trailing space at the end and writing text before this space "solves" the problem.)

How the reproduce:
  - New writer Document
  - Insert a new section
  - Add text inside section.
  - As soon as a composing character (like ¨) is entered, the cursor jumps down and leaves the ¨ character, instead of for example ü (wich is " followed by u).

Warm regards

Ivo

I can't confirm with

Version: 7.3.3.2 (x64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: d1d0ea68f081ee2800a922cac8f79445e4603348
CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19044; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win
Locale: de-DE (de_DE); UI: en-GB
Calc: CL

So perhaps only Linux? But could you please also try to reproduce it with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/libreoffice-fresh/ ? I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to 'UNCONFIRMED' if the bug is still present in the latest version. Change to RESOLVED WORKSFORME, if the problem went away.
