Not clear what "amending documents" is. Needed are exact steps, sample document and precise changes that lead to crash.
When I say “amending document”, I am inputting new data into an existing document and the program “hangs” such that I can no longer amend. LibreOffice then closes down and when I restart it offers to recover the document which, to date, it has always done successfully. There is no pattern to the problem. It happens on different documents at different stages.
This report is not useful then. You may try to turn off Skia i Options-View, you say you already did LO User profile reset or rename.
OK, looks like I'll have to live with it then.
It' shouldn't crash. Let this stay in Needinfo, but please report what happens if you turn off Skia in Options-View. And confirm that you really deleted or better renamed LO User profile in C:\Users\name\Application Data\LibreOffice\. Also important is if inputting new data means just typing, paste or insert image or table, chart.

THANKS FOR THE REMINDER. UNFORTUNATELY, THE DIAGNOSTICS YOU ASKED FOR ARE BEYOND MY TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES. THE ISSUE IS STILL OCCURRING BUT I'M CONFIDENT IT ONLY OCCURS WHEN I AM SCROLLING THROUGH A DOCUMENT (TYPICALLY SPREADSHEETS) FOR A SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT OF LINES. MY WIFE IS EXPERIENCING THE SAME ISSUE HAVING INSTALLED LIBRE ON HER NEW LAPTOP A FEW WEEKS AGO. SOUNDS LIKE WE'LL HAVE TO LIVE WITH IT UNLESS YOU CAN REPLICATE IT ON YOUR OWN SYSTEMS.

Just to make it clear, you can navigate to the option that was requested to be deactivated via: Tools - Options - LibreOffice - View - Use Skia for all rendering Let us know, if it makes a difference.
