Description LaVerne 2022-05-28 11:00:41 UTC
Editing Forms, behavior is highly random. For example:
Open a Form to edit, reset the size of the window, do some work and close. Reopen Form and the window might be the same size, it might be the size of another Form window you've been working with, or it might decide to start at a random spot and go most of the way or all the way across the screen. I have not tested with multiple display to see if it goes across multiple displays.
The Forms are all defined with Page Style 8.5x11, portrait but come up as most anything, up to 18" wide and various heights.

One consistent behavior is consistently bad. Bringing up the Form Navigator ALWAYS comes up in the upper left corner, covering everything useful. If I move it to somewhere useful, and bring it up again, it shows in the useful location for a flash, then moves to conceal all the important items. Likewise with the Properties window, it always wants to start concealing as much of the Form as it can.

You could set size and zoom-value through macros.

You could set position and size also through the GUI of your system.

Forms, special forms inside a Base file, will take the last zoom value of an opened Writer document, because they are also Writer documents.

Forms will be shown all in web style by default. Go to View → Normal instead if you wish to see the grey background of a paper.

Please write down only one buggy behavior you detected for one bug. Contact also https://ask.libreoffice.org/tag/base to get help.

No response to this in 7 months, so I guess the reporter is happy.
