I set Page Style to be 8.5x11 portrait (0.25" margins). The Form Designer instead give me a page that is about 18" wide and 7" high. It then limits where I can put controls; none are allowed to extend below the visible boundary of the window. Enlarging the window give me another half inch in the height, but does not let a control go below the new edge.
I figured out I could position controls as I desired by zooming 75%, and positioning them. Except that, when I zoom back to 100% Base REPOSITIONS CONTROLS TOP WHEREVER IT THINKS THE OUGHT TO BE. Why does Base think IT is in charge of my Forms?
This is quite beyond belief - It repositioned the control to PositionY = 8.80 and WILL NOT ALLOW me to change it to 8.75. It's decided it wants my control where I don't and it's going to keep it there.
1. Forms will be shown as View → Web (default). You could change this to View → Normal and create a style for the page. 2. If there are problems to position controls: Be sure there you could see the Formatting Marks. There should only be one formatting mark in left upper corner. Click on a control. Go to Control-Properties → General. Set Anchor → To Page.
