Description Hein Zentgraf 2022-05-30 08:02:37 UTC
I actually hate wondize, but have to live with it because of the limited software for decent O/S such as Linux.

For this reason I do not use Office and prefer to use LibreOffice, which is great, once you get past the learning curve.

One serious problem, though: windoze being the crap it is, there are certain operations that work great, especially in other applications. When opening an app, I sometimes have to update a specific file. I then create a new folder from within the "Open" dialog box, give it an appropriate name and copy the older version into the new folder. I then open the old file and immediately rename it with a new version number as will be appropriate.

When trying to do this in LibreOffice, everything frezzes up and the process has to be stopped from TaskManager.

Please, guys, I'm not a programmer and can't do it, otherwise I would try. Please, big please: fix this problem. I have encountered it many times before, yet I forget that LibreOffice is the only app that doesn't work like the other apps in that sense.

Also I have an idea, when LO crashes with wirking save dialog, try to setting the libreoffice to use own dialog TOOLS > OPTIONS > LibreOffice > General and check Use libreoffice dialog boxes. When the problem is not present, then problem is probably in dialog of operation system.
