Description Martin Srdoš 2022-05-30 16:05:34 UTC
When I am saving a file I am very often deleting files from the saving dialog. If I delete a file like this and then I want to save my file in same name, then the LO ask me, if I want to rewrite the deleted file.

Reproduction steps:
1) make writer file "Untitled1.odt"
2) Open writer
3) ctrl+shift+s
4) delete file "Untitled1.odt"
5) write to name of file same name, so "Untitled1.odt"
6) save it.

It works also with other files also in calc for example.

Actual result:
Dialog ask me, when I wont overwrite the file "Untitled1.odt"

Expected result:
Ask only when the file is still exist.

I guess you are reporting against system dialog. Please test with LO dialog. Change is, if I recall correctly, in Options-General.

Ou yes.... It is windows dialog and I see now, that it works everywhere same... LO dialog has no chance to delete a file from it...
