Description: After LibreOffice closed without any warning, I noticed that LO desktop shortcut had disappeared. I then received a pop-up from AntiVirus program that to complete an update my laptop required a restart. Did a restart. When computer rebooted the LO shortcut was visible on desktop again. Now LO won't open. Steps to Reproduce: 1.Tried to open LO from desktop shortcut 2.Tried to open LO Safe-mode from start menu 3. Actual Results: Nothing. LO won't open with any method. Expected Results: That LO would open files. Reproducible: Didn't try User Profile Reset: Yes Additional Info: Had the same issue previously and reported on bug #149262. I was told there are no issues with LO and Windows 10. Why am I repeatedly having this issue. I can't keep reinstalling LO every month!!
Probably your Antivirus is just fooling around with things. Nothing LibreOffice could help with.
Report bug to Antivirus vendor. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 149262 ***
(In reply to Timur from comment #2) > Report bug to Antivirus vendor. > > *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 149262 *** Have been in contact with my antivirus provider. After uninstalling antivirus software I am still unable to open LibreOffice from shortcut or in safe-mode from start menu. As LO still won't open without antivirus running or installed my provider concludes there is no issue from their side. What now??
Do not change status. This is not a support site. You were previously given advice, even that your problem doesn't seem like a general bug, rather local issue. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 149262 ***

I didn't mean to upset you by changing status. Using this type of forum is new to me. I am not a computer whizz, some of your language is foreign to me. I am trying to fix my issue with the very little information I can gather in the shortest time frame. I have followed the advice given and reported back my findings and thought it logical to change the status as it had changed (in my opinion). I didn't think that was an unreasonable thing to do as the advice given didn't fix my issue. I am not sure what you mean by a local issue. I am living in a remote part of a country so this is my only avenue to get advice on getting LO and access to my documents working satisfactorily so that I can continue to produce my documents in a timely manner. Update: I have uninstalled both anti virus software and LO. Have reinstalled LO and accessed documents successfully. Have now reinstalled anti virus software, hopefully everything will continue to work. If this problem occurs again (for the third time) unfortunately I will have to look for another program to use instead of LO.
This is bug report for problems in LO. Which is not the case here. General support, questions, help, it is ask.libreoffice.org. When you ask help, be detailed, write exactly which Antivirus.
