Description Regis Perdreau 2022-06-17 09:16:47 UTC
Only in French language

In the "outils" menu there are options that have the same keyboard shortcut
- "F"ormulaire
- Protéger la "f"euille.

The keyboard key being the same, it is difficult to access these options by keyboard shortcut.

Thanks Regis. This is about accelerators (alt+f). Confirmed, JBF or me will take care of it.

For "Formulaires":
https://translations.documentfoundation.org/translate/libo_ui-master/officecfgregistrydataorgopenofficeofficeui/fr/?checksum=45eaf5fda4532744&q=note%3AVfg7K&sort_by=-priority%2Cposition

For "Protéger la feuille":

BTW, in this same menu, there are also:
"Personnaliser" and "Partager le classeur..." which both use "p" as shortcut.
"Options d'Autocorrection" and "Autosaisie" which both use "a".
"Recherche de valeur cible..." and "Gestionnaire des extensions" which both use "e".
"Orthographe" and "Options..." : "o"
...
It seems definition of shortcuts is a never ending story and it's not only in French UI :-(.

I don't know. I'm not sure but I think I read that manual shortcuts should be removed so it would let LO decide. Indeed, depending languages expectations about shortcuts may greatly differ.
Also what about if we want compatibility with Microsoft Office apps or if we want to be sure a very known shortcut like Ctrl-C to copy doesn't change at random.

Also, I don't know if the rendering (gen, gtk3, kf5) may have an impact here.

Caolán/Adolfo: put you in cc if you got any thoughts.

The problem is that letter "F" open a submenu automatically, so we can't access other "F" items. We have to close the submenu and use arrows, user could think it's a bit clumsy.

Any thoughts ?

So i propose the key "g" for the option "Protéger la feuille", instead of key "f".

Thanks for the suggestion. This is now corrected in master project in Weblate.
