Description: I had to do a fresh install of Windows 10 on my laptop, after which I reinstalled LibreOffice, version 7.3.4.2 (x64). When I set my preferences on Writer some icons that I do not want have stayed on the Formatting toolbar even though they are not selected. I have marked these with red arrows in the accompanying two attachments. Steps to Reproduce: I hope my description and attachments make it clear. Actual Results: As described. Expected Results: As described. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: No other information.

My bad. Sorted now. I had selected Formatting Styles instead of Formatting. Now here's a suggestion. When you click on the Target box to change the Toolbar from Standard, the menu always opens part of the way down (I presume this happens to everyone and not just me) with Formatting Styles shown on the top line, while Formatting is hidden out of sight one line above it, and if you are inexperienced like me you don't realise unless you scroll up to make it visible. So to select Formatting Styles is an easy mistake to make. If the menu opened at the top instead of part way down, this wouldn't happen.
I think we can close the bug?
Yes, not a bug, it can be closed. But it would be good if someone would consider the suggestion I made in my 2nd post.
